Rafting can be a calm or an extreme sport. In Nepal, it is the best thrilling adventure experience that a person can experience on the waterways of Nepal. It is a popular sport activity as Nepal has many rivers that flow down from the great Himalayas. The currents of water flowing from the higher altitude of the Himalayas to the lower altitudes of Hills and even the lowest altitude of the Terai region of Nepal makes the perfect environment for rafting extending the experiences from a few hours to days. So there are some grades given to the raft experience according to the difficulty to handle the raft, water currents, duration, and obstacles to various rivers of Nepal like Trishuli, Kaligandaki, Bhote Koshi, and Karnali.
The rafting is categorized according to the currents of the river. And the white water rafting in Trishuli is graded to be 3+ with fast-moving currents with obstacles and long continuous sections of water with large waves. Trishuli river rafting is the most popular rafting destination for amateurs and experienced rafters. It is a 60 km stretch of river with fast currents and obstacles. The distance to reach Trishuli is about 80 km which is on the way to Pokhara. So people tend to stop for a rafting adventure on the way to Pokhara.
In this package of a day rafting experience, we have different starting points according to the season for a better experience. If you join us from October to May, we will start from Charaudi, and from June to September our starting point will be Fishling. It is due to the quantity of water high in those regions. We would not want our guests to experience a shallow whitewater rafting experience. Then our rafting journey begins with a professional river guide. After rafting, we will enjoy a non-veg buffet lunch to fuel up. At the end of the day, we will drive back to Kathmandu marking the end of the trip.
