• Glacial Terrain: The trail leads you through a rugged landscape of moraines, glacial streams, and rocky terrain. The ascent can be challenging due to the high altitude and uneven ground.
• Panoramic Views: As you gain elevation, you'll be rewarded with awe-inspiring views of the Kanchenjunga massif, including the towering peaks of Kanchenjunga Main, Yalung Kang, and Jannu.
• Pangpema: Arrive at Pangpema (North Base Camp) in the afternoon, a dramatic setting surrounded by glaciers and snow-capped peaks. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and savor the sense of accomplishment.

• Retracing Steps: Begin your descent back down the valley, retracing your steps along the glacial moraines and rocky terrain.

• Lhonak: Stop for lunch at Lhonak, where you can refuel and enjoy a final glimpse of the breathtaking scenery.
• Ghunsa: Continue your descent through the picturesque Ghunsa Khola Valley, arriving back in Ghunsa village in the late afternoon.
• Rest and Relaxation: Spend the evening relaxing at your teahouse or lodge in Ghunsa, reminiscing about the incredible journey to Pangpema and preparing for the next phase of your trek.
• Dinner and Overnight: Enjoy a delicious dinner and a comfortable night's rest in Ghunsa.

• High-Altitude Challenge: Prepare for a demanding day as you ascend to Sele Le Base Camp, one of the highest point of your trek.
• Scenic Ascent: The trail climbs steeply through rocky terrain and scree slopes, offering breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga massif and the surrounding glaciers.
• Base Camp Arrival: Arrive at Sele Le Base Camp in the afternoon, a remote and awe-inspiring location nestled amidst the snow-capped peaks. Take in the incredible views and celebrate your achievement.
• Dinner and Overnight: Savor a warm meal under the starry Himalayan sky and rest well for the next day's trek.
• Note: Leaving the Gyabla trail behind, we ascend to Sele Le, a remote haven nestled amidst the Kanchenjunga massif. Keep your eyes peeled for snow leopards as we traverse the dense forests – a rare and thrilling encounter! Human settlements are few and far between, with the occasional teahouse only open during peak trekking season. In heavy snowfall, access to the South Base Camp may be cut off beyond this point, requiring a detour back to Sekathum. However, for the adventurous and well-prepared, crossing the passes allows a direct route to Tseram, potentially shaving a day off our planned itinerary.

Trekking Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours
Elevation Gain: 700 meters/2,296 feet

• Crossing Passes: Today's trek involves crossing two high-altitude passes, the Sinion La (4,660 m/15,288 ft) and the Mirgin La (4,480 m/14,698 ft). Be prepared for steep ascents and descents, as well as potential snow and ice depending on the season.
• Sele Le Pass: Begin by retracing your steps to Sele Le Pass, enjoying the familiar but still spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.
• Sinion La: Ascend to Sinion La, the first of the two passes. From the top, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Jannu, Makalu, and other Himalayan giants.
• Mirgin La: Descend from Sinion La and then climb to Mirgin La, another scenic pass with stunning vistas of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
• Descent to Tseram: After crossing Mirgin La, descend into the picturesque Tseram Valley, following the trail through alpine meadows and rocky terrain.
• Tseram Village: Arrive in Tseram in the late afternoon, a charming village nestled in a high-altitude valley. Settle into your teahouse or lodge and rest after the challenging day.
• Dinner and Overnight: Enjoy a warm meal and a good night's sleep in Tseram, reflecting on the incredible journey through the high passes.

• Oktang Excursion: Leave your main backpacks in Ramche and commence on a day hike to Oktang, the South Base Camp of Kanchenjunga.
• High-Altitude Trek: The hike to Oktang involves a challenging ascent through rocky terrain and glacial moraines. The effort is rewarded with awe-inspiring views of Kanchenjunga and its surrounding glaciers.
• Panoramic Views: At Oktang, immerse yourself in the dramatic scenery of the world's third-highest peak and its neighboring summits. Capture stunning photos and cherish the unforgettable experience.
• Return to Ramche: Descend back to Ramche in the late afternoon, where you'll have dinner and spend the night.

• Yamphudin: Arrive in Yamphudin in the afternoon, a village nestled amidst terraced fields and surrounded by lush green hills.

• Kabeli Khola: Trek descent to Kabeli Khola and take a jeep back to Kanyam.

• Scenic Drive: Enjoy a scenic drive through rolling hills, tea gardens, and charming villages as you make your way to Kanyam, a hill station renowned for its tea plantations and panoramic views.
• Kanyam Tea Gardens: Arrive in Kanyam and check in to your hotel or lodge. Take some time to explore the lush tea gardens, perhaps even taking a guided tour to learn about the tea-making process.
